Often when an artist tries something new, you question what you are doing and if it is working. The paint used in this exhibit was a gift from a neighbor left on my porch. These are not the colors I am typically drawn to and I did not know what to do with them. Turns out, they inspired more playful, and sometimes slightly less abstract, paintings than my typical work. The paintings then inspired the space itself to become part of the exhibit. As I painted, I continued to question: What is art? What is good art? Who is a good artist?
